boudoir art

Hold your portraits in your hands

Have you thought about what you’d like to do with your pictures after your boudoir session?

All of my boudoir art collections include both printed and digital versions of your portraits, so you'll have digital pictures to back up onto your computer - and you'll have printed, tangible art you can hold in your hands. We live in a digital world, but my clients tell me time and time again how special it is special to look at their printed boudoir art.

All of these printed pieces are handmade in the US (often in the Midwest!), and I do my best to work directly with artists using sustainable materials.

collection options:

Albums & Boxes

My clients get to choose from two album options and two box options. All of these options are the same price — pricing just goes by the number of pictures you’re ordering — and all my collections include both printed and digital versions of your pictures (for my current pricing, see my info/pricing guide here)

Albums generally feel narrative and storytelling, and portrait boxes feel modern and unique. I’ve found that some clients are drawn to something that feels a little smaller and more delicate, and some clients are drawn to something that feels more substantial and epic, so that’s why albums and boxes each have a couple styles to choose from.

Explore the options here and think about what style resonates the most with you! I’ll also have examples of each of these in the studio so I can show them to you on your session day. I’ve poured hours into carefully selecting the very best portrait boxes and albums to provide my clients, and I can’t wait to help you choose the perfect option for you!

Gilded Albums

My gilded albums are named for the gold foil on the edge of their pages. I love how delicate, simple, and striking these albums feel! They’re super minimalistic and luxurious – they come with a creamy white linen cover, the pages are super thick, and the album itself is a smaller size (at 9x6”, my clients always say, “I love how this album fits in my hands!”). These albums are made in the Midwest, and they usually arrive in about three weeks after I order them – one of the fastest turnaround times for my art options! The portraits inside are printed on lustre photographic pages with no cut in the middle, so pictures can go all the way across the pages.

Luxe Albums

My luxe albums feel substantial, special, and super luxurious (hence their name!). These albums come with more customization options for the cover, and allow the client to choose from leather, linen, silk, and suede fabrics in a rainbow of colors. These albums are square in shape, and at a larger 10x10” size, they feel pretty epic! The cover can also have optional text added to it in gold foil or imprinting for a special touch. These are handmade in Missouri by a really eco-friendly album bindery, and they have thick pages. Just like the gilded albums, my luxe albums feature lustre photographic pages with no cut in the middle, so pictures can go all the way across the pages.

square Boxes

My square boxes feel super modern and inviting – perfect for holding your stack of white matted portraits! These boxes are all made by hand in Missouri and they are 8x8” (the perfect size to sit on your lap). I love that each box is custom-made to be the perfect height for the number of pictures that will sit inside! They have a bunch of linen and silk fabrics to choose from for the cover, with the option to add some text in gold foil for a personal detail.

Wooden Boxes

My wooden boxes feel epic, organic, and substantial! They are my largest art option physically, and they measure in at 11x14” – the perfect size for a coffee table or vanity. These wooden boxes are hand-made here in the US from walnut and maple. The craftsmanship on these boxes is absolutely beautiful, and when you open the lid to reveal your stack of matted portraits, they lift out easily with a ribbon.

Add on to your collection:

Wall Art & Folios

Many of my clients will choose a favorite artistic portrait – or a storytelling series! – to display on the wall as art, or to present in a folding nightstand folio. These options are all available to add on to any boudoir collection, and they feel super, super special.

four-image nightstand folio

My nightstand folios are a beautiful way to showcase four favorite images from a session! They come in your choice of a beautiful linen or silk cover in an array of gorgeous colors. They are accordion-folding, meaning that they display out beautifully on a shelf or nightstand and they can also be folded up discreetly.

Crystal Prints

My crystal art prints are made here in Minnesota and feel so modern and luminous! Your portrait is printed on photographic paper and then mounted behind a pane of acrylic glass. These stand out from the wall a bit and are so striking — perfect for a sun-filled portrait or a dramatic black and white image!

Woodgrain prints

My woodgrain prints are the most unique wall art option I offer – your portrait is printed directly onto a maple panel! The white/lighter areas of an image are printed as clear, so the woodgrain shows through for a really organic, natural feel. These work best for portraits with a lot of light in the background or for outdoor boudoir images!

organic frames

My organic frames are made by a collective of artists in Louisiana who print your portrait on fine art paper, hand-tear the edges of the print for an organic detail, then mount the print out from the back of the frame to add subtle dimension. These frames come in a whitewash or walnut finish, work for any style portrait, and have a truly timeless and artistic style!
